Over the course of one semester with Touro, I have evolved as an innovative teacher. Not sure what exactly my expectations for this masters program were, but one semester down and two to go I already feel accelerated as a 21st Century teacher. Coming from a low-tech background, this program forced me to experiment with new programs and designs for classroom curricula. It was not intentional on the part of this program, but everything I've learned has been transmitted directly into my teaching practice. As my curiosity and enthusiasm increased with using new web 2.0 programs, I experimented with them in my classroom. Not saying that I'm a master at anything, but I feel ahead of the curve compared to many of my colleagues for implemeting project-based learning (PBL), technology integration, and preparing for common core standards.
